We undervalue rest

We get rewarded for being productive. We accomplish to feel worthy. But what we really need is rest and reflection. It’s invaluable to recharge and reflect.

What is considered normal: being productive 

Our culture doesn’t seem to help us get our priorities straight.

We get rewarded for being productive.

We reward ourselves with positive self-talk when we achieve things.

We feel we need to be useful, be active.

To accomplish to feel worthy.

Crossing that line

Many of us overstrain ourselves.

Only after we have worked TOO HARD,

we realise we have crossed a line.

Only then we might start to prioritise

REST and NOURISHING ourselves.

The rampant figures on burn-out are there to prove it.

Rest is invaluable

What I have learned over the years:

It’s invaluable to check in with yourself on a regular basis and grant yourself TIME TO REST. 


Sit. Breathe. Drink some tea.
Take a walk in nature if you feel like it.
