To work on your growth, it is imperative to be open, honest and at times vulnerable. I appreciate you don't do that lightly. A sense of trust and safety is hugely important in this regard. That's why I am fully committed to providing a safe space for you, with everything that you bring in.
We build trust by gently getting to know each other. The sessions revolve around you, but you can always ask me personal questions if that helps you feel more at ease with me.
We work at your pace. I will not 'push' you. During counselling, I will regularly make suggestions or invite you to do an exercise. You will then decide whether you do or don't want to. Your wishes and limits are leading.
Curiosity is key. Everything that comes up is welcome. We examine it and discover it. As neutrally as possible. I will not judge, but ask open-minded questions and listen carefully to what you think and feel.
You are welcome regardless of your gender, religion or beliefs, sexual preferences and your relationship type. I enjoy working with people from all different backgrounds.
